The Failed Experiment


The Failed Experiment is a level designed in Unreal Engine. I designed and created this level to demonstrate knowledge of unreal blueprint scripting and level design.

Design Goals:

My goal for this level was to create a moving platform game in a genre and situation that a player does not usually see. Moving platforms are commonly found in puzzle and platformer type games, but I thought putting them into an escape and horror type game would be interesting variety.

Inspiration:

Main inspiration for the color and design of this level comes a unique shrine from Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This shrine, named Etsu Korima Shrine, is unique due to its pitch-black nature with blue torch lamps and lasers to light Link towards the end.
