Far Reach Replication


I recreated Emily’s Far Reach ability from Dishonored 2. While similar to Corvo’s ability Blink, Far Reach is not a teleport ability.

In the demo video, I demonstrate all three levels of upgrades that Far Reach has in Dishonored 2. The first level is the base ability. A beam extends out to a limit and has an effect at the end to demonstrate where the player will go. The second level is a grab ability. In the game, any small object or enemy could be grabbed and pulled towards Emily. The third level is when Emily is falling and using Far Reach, she slows time.

The movement of the player after the ability is used, was created by procedural animation. This was an entirely new idea when I first started, and I enjoyed learning something new.
